Resumen:
Cryogels are highly elastic three-dimensional materials consisting of a polymer network obtained under cryogenic conditions (cryogelation)1. The use of monolithic cryogel columns offers several advantages over conventional stationary phase in bioseparation, related to fast flow, low back pressure and simple scale-up. Their structure with large (1 ? 250 µm) and highly interconnected pores (supermacropore) also provide high performances for the purification of proteins2. Immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC) allows the separation and purification of proteins possessing exposed electron donor groups on their surface aminoacid residues, based on their affinities for metal ions (Co(II), Zn(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II)).Moreover, the dendritic structures are multi-branched molecules with high density of functional groups, which improve multivalent interactions3. Therefore, the dendronized polymers are an alternative to obtain dendritic properties, then the aim of this work was synthetized novel supermacroporous cryogels for Immunoglobulin G (IgG) recognition, using a dendritic monomer (DM) and immobilized Cu(II).
