From stems of Heterophyllaea pustulata Hook (Rubiáceas), 3-hydroxy-1-methoxyanthraquinone-2-aldehyde, 1,3-dihydroxy-2-methylanthraquinone and 1,6-dihydroxy-2-methylantraquinone have been isolated. These compounds have been characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, and corroborated by IR, MS, UV-V and m.p.
