Resumen:
Natural compounds are the foundation of pharmacological treatments and more than 50% of all anticancer drugs are of natural origins or at least derived from compounds present in Nature. Taraxacum officinale G. Weber ex F.H. Wigg. (Asteraceae), popular known as ?dandelion? has been shown to exert diverse biological activities, including apoptosis in leukemia and melanoma cell lines. In this study, we investigated the in vitro cytotoxicity and antiproliferative actions of T. officinale extracts in cervical cancer cell lines, with the aim of evaluating their possible use as alternative or complementary cancer treatments.
