Resumen:
In Argentina recently, a growth in the demand for higher education and institutional supply diversification has taken place in a context of constriction of the fiscal deficit policies, this brought with it the need to increase efficiency in the use of resources. In addition, the citizens who sustain completely or partially public universities aim that the quality, management efficiency and equity in the distribution of their services are guaranteed in some way. In the economics of education field, efficiency of services can be addressed through the efficiency analysis of educational decision units. With this purpose, we must consider these institutions as complex entities, which produce multiple outputs from the combination of a set of inputs. This paper undertakes the analysis of the efficiency in the utilization of labor resource of the academic units of the National University of Cordoba, applying two multicriteria methodologies, the TOPSIS method and the Simple Additive Model, using as efficiency ratio an Output ?In indicator. The resulting rankings were compared with one, obtained by the application of a nonparametric methodology, specifically designed for efficiency measurement, and no significant differences between them were observed. This should be interpreted considering that academic units with highest scores are those that should receive greater budget reinforcement. The system proposed thereby would somehow ?reward? those units which are working efficiently.
