Stochastic Resonance is a cooperative phenomenon between noise and periodic forcing in a bistable system. The process is modeled by an overdamped Brownian particle in a quartic potential whose minima are periodically exchanged due to an external forcing. The Fokker-Planck equation for the problem is solved and the short time propagators are calculated. From them the one time asymptotic probability distribution and the correlation functions are numerically computed. The signal to noise ratio is calculated as a function of the noise intensity for parameters showing stochastic resonance.
