Localización de software para accesibilidad: el caso del editor EULER

Abstract? This paper reports the joint effort undertakenby two Latin-American universities, TEC ? Costa Rica andUNC ? Argentina, to localize EULER, a software aimed atgenerating math content in accessible formats. Thesoftware is under development at TEC and the localizationof its interface into French, English and German was doneat UNC by groups of students lead by their teachers. Theresult of this experience was highly positive as studentswere introduced to the localization industry and gainedpractice in view of their professional life, and, on the otherhand, we could contribute to the development of such avaluable tool, EULER, by allowing users from other partsof the world to test it and eventually adopt it in theircontent generation processes.
