p class="MsoBodyTextIndent3" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 200%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">New macroporous polymer rods have been prepared by free radical cross-linking copolymerization from N-acryloyl-TRIS(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (NAT) and N,N´-methylenebisacrylamide (BIS) as cross-linking agent, using different porogenic mixtures and azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. The porous properties of these materials were controlled by changes in the proportion of the porogenic mixture, polymerization temperature or concentration of cross-linking agent. The pore size distribution profile, shifted towards larger pores size, was obtained in the following cases: when the percentage of co-porogen was increased, when the copolymerization reactions were carried out at low temperature (55ºC), and when the
