Resumen:
Over last years, great interest on the development of bio-polymers based nanoparticles for their application as drug delivery system (DDS) has gained attention because their intrinsic biocompatibility and biodegradability compared with synthetic polymer based nanoparticles . In particular, casein (CAS) is a nutritive milk protein able to form micelles in aqueous solution and in the presence of Ca2+, being possible to prepare crosslinked structures aiming to obtain stable nanovehicles in the bloodstream. Despite of several works have been reported about the preparation of CCM by using different cross-linkers, the enzymatic response of these casein based micelles by proteases has not been studied so far. In addition, all these works did not introduce cross-linker which could give any stimuli responsive properties to the micelles. For example the use of glyceraldehyde (GAL) as cross-linker produces pH-sensitive CCM. In this work, we propose the preparation of smart CCM as carriers of hydrophobic drugs for their utilization in passive target and dual pH-protease responsive drug delivery systems
