Resumen:
The following course materials have been prepared in order to provide English Language II students with stimulating content, create a general context in which students may practice their linguistic skills and sub-skills in an integrated manner, and offer them the opportunity not only to develop their various competences but also to improve their learning strategies.
The unit contains the basic reading texts for the content unit, questions and topics for oral and written discussion, suggestions for improvement of students’ lexical and collocational competence, and a carefully designed array of exercises. Students will find a complete reference of Internet resources relevant to the contents developed, a Progress Test, a self-assessment sheet, and a peer feedback form to be used for every single writing task in this, as well as other units. When students finish reading and working with this unit, they will also be able to check their exercises by consulting the key provided at the back of the set.
