Resumen:
The aim of this paper is to describe our attempts at putting some current views on process writing into practice within an EFL secondary education context. We briefly review some of the basic tenets of process writing, with special emphasis on rewriting, revision and feedback and their implications for the teaching-learning process; we then describe how we tried to apply these theoretical points by introducing some changes and innovations into our writing programmes. We believe that process writing notions should play an important role in EFL instruction and that they are worth implementing at any level of instruction. This belief is rooted in the increasing need of empowering students to become indepent and self-conscious learners on the one hand and making the whole teaching-learning process more interactive on the other.
